Rain, accompanied by wind and thunderstorms, is expected from October 5 to 8, while Sindh is expected to remain hot and dry during this period.

Westerly Wave Brings Rainfall

According to PMD, a westerly wave is likely to impact the upper regions of Pakistan from October 5, bringing rain, wind, and thunderstorms. Some areas might also experience isolated heavy rainfall and hailstorms.

Rain and thunderstorms are expected in the following regions of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa:

• October 5 to 8: Chitral, Dir, Swat, Kohistan, Shangla, Battagram, Mansehra, Abbottabad, Haripur, Buner, Malakand, Bajaur, Mohmand, Khyber, Peshawar, Swabi, Charsadda, Nowshera
• October 5 to 7: Mardan, Kurram, Orakzai, Kohat, Hangu, Bannu, Lakki Marwat, Waziristan, Dera Ismail Khan

Islamabad, Punjab, and Azad Kashmir Forecast

The federal capital Islamabad and cities in Punjab and Azad Kashmir will also experience rain-wind/thunderstorms and occasional hailstorms during October 5 to 8:

• Islamabad, Rawalpindi, and Punjab (October 5 to 8): Murree, Galliyat, Attock, Chakwal, Jhelum, Mandi Bahauddin, Gujrat, Gujranwala, Lahore, Kasur, Okara, Sheikhupura, Sialkot, Narowal, Hafizabad, Wazirabad, Khushab, Sargodha, Mianwali, Jhang, Toba Tek Singh, Chiniot, Faisalabad
• Punjab (October 6 to 8): Sahiwal, Pakpattan, Dera Ghazi Khan, Layyah, Bhakkar

The regions of Gilgit-Baltistan and parts of Balochistan will also see rainy conditions:

• Balochistan (October 6 and 7): Quetta, Zhob, Barkhan, Lasbella, Panjgur, Awaran
