According to the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA), Sarim Burney is facing allegations of fraud, fake documents, and human smuggling.
Authorities assert that Sarim Burney is accused of illegally sending over 25 children to America. It is alleged that Burney and his trust facilitated the adoption of children by prospective parents in America through illegal methods. These children were reportedly handed over to the Sarim Burney Trust in Karachi on various occasions.
