Relief for Electricity Consumers: Rs 2.65 per Unit Reduction in September Bills

In a positive development for electricity consumers in Pakistan, the federal government has announced a relief of Rs 2.65 per unit in the electricity bills for September. This reduction comes as part of a fuel price adjustment mechanism.

• Fuel Price Adjustment: Electricity bills have decreased by Rs 2.93 per unit due to lower fuel prices in comparison to the previous month.
• Quarterly Adjustment: A quarterly adjustment has resulted in an increase of Rs 1.74 per unit.

  • Agricultural and domestic consumers using up to 300 units will receive a relief of Rs 2.19 per unit, including tax.
