Potential Drop in Petroleum Prices in Pakistan Amid Global Market Trends

Due to a decline in crude oil prices in the international market, Pakistan may see a reduction in the prices of petroleum products in the coming days. According to sources, petrol and diesel prices could decrease by up to Rs 12 per litre, while the price of kerosene might drop by Rs 8, and light diesel by Rs 10 per litre.
Final Price Adjustments
The final decision on price adjustments will be based on global price fluctuations observed between September 12 and 14. However, sources have also indicated that any increase in taxes could influence the final pricing, potentially offsetting some of the expected reductions.
Previous Price Reductions
This potential price cut follows a trend, as the prices of petroleum products have already been reduced three times in the recent past, providing some relief to consumers amid global and domestic economic challenges.
