In a federal cabinet meeting, he expressed solidarity with the Pakistan Army in their mission to deal with these adversaries decisively.

Visit to Quetta and Meeting with Martyrs’ Families

PM Shehbaz Sharif recounted his recent visit to Quetta, where he met with the families of martyrs affected by the recent terrorist incidents in Balochistan. He noted the resilience and high spirits of the martyrs’ families, reinforcing the government’s commitment to supporting them.

Condemnation of Terrorism in Balochistan

The Prime Minister strongly condemned the recent acts of terrorism in Balochistan, describing them as the pinnacle of violence and an attempt to destabilize the region. He highlighted that external elements are attempting to fuel separatist sentiments in Balochistan to disrupt the friendship between China and Pakistan.

Briefing on Balochistan’s Security Situation

During the cabinet meeting, PM Sharif shared details from a briefing by the corps commander on the security situation in Balochistan. The briefing identified issues such as the need for better training of levies and the lack of modern weapons. The Prime Minister acknowledged that some external forces are sowing discord in the province, but assured that the Pakistan Army, with full support from the federal and Balochistan governments, is actively pursuing these threats.

Commitment to Overcoming Challenges

PM Sharif emphasized that nations often face difficulties, and the way to overcome them is through hard work and dedication. He also highlighted the ongoing welfare projects initiated by the Chief Minister of Balochistan and pointed out the potential benefits that the province can reap from the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC).
