Israeli airstrikes across Gaza have claimed at least 18 lives overnight, with one of the deadliest attacks hitting the home of the Al-Qassas family in Nuseirat refugee camp. The strike, which occurred on Monday morning, killed 10 family members and left 15 others injured, according to medics at Al-Awda hospital.
Gaza Civil Defence Confirms Death Toll
Gaza’s civil defence agency confirmed the death toll from the strike, with spokesperson Mahmud Bassal indicating that the attack targeted the family’s home early Monday. Rescue operations were carried out amid the wreckage as medics worked to save the injured.
Six Killed in Gaza City’s Zeitun Neighborhood
Another airstrike during the night in Gaza City’s Zeitun neighborhood, a frequent target of Israeli military action, resulted in six deaths. The attack targeted the Bassal family home, according to the civil defence agency, with several others wounded in the incident.
Two Killed in Rafah
In Rafah, another airstrike targeted a house belonging to the Abu Shaar family, killing two people. Medics and rescue workers report several wounded in this strike as well, adding to the growing toll of casualties.
