The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) has confirmed that three retired military officers are currently in military custody due to their involvement in actions against military discipline in connection with operations concerning Lt. Gen. (Retd) Faiz Hameed.
Details of the Arrested Officers
The arrested individuals include two former senior officers, Brigadier (Retd) Ghaffar and Brigadier (Retd) Naeem, along with a former colonel. According to ISPR, these officers acted as messengers, facilitating coordination between a political party and Lt. Gen. (Retd) Faiz Hameed.
Involvement in Political Messaging
Both retired brigadiers, who hail from Chakwal, were reportedly close and trusted officers of Lt. Gen. (Retd) Faiz Hameed. After their retirement, they were involved in political messaging and facilitation. The ISPR stated that these officers and their associates attempted to create instability by collaborating with individuals with political interests.
