National cricket team captain Babar Azam has voiced his singular focus on clinching victory in the upcoming World Cup. Addressing the media, Azam exuded confidence in his team’s capacity to deliver exceptional cricket. He specifically highlighted the impressive performance of the fast bowling department, expressing trust in their abilities.

Babar Azam conveyed his team’s determination to learn from past mistakes and excel in the ongoing World Cup campaign. He emphasized the collective responsibility of senior players to lead by example.

Reiterating his primary objective of securing victory in the World Cup, Azam stressed the importance of prioritizing team success over individual accomplishments. He acknowledged the absence of high-scoring matches and highlighted the experience of players like Shadab Khan, Imad Wasim, and Haris.

Azam emphasized the flexibility of batting positions based on situational demands and expressed disappointment in Saheem Ayub’s performance, considering him a potential game-changer who couldn’t deliver when needed.

However, Azam expressed confidence in Shadab Khan’s versatility across different playing conditions, citing him as a player he trusts the most. He highlighted Khan’s contributions across all aspects of the game and hoped for favorable conditions for him.

Azam also discussed the team’s training regimen, mentioning the utilization of available facilities for practice sessions, with batsmen training at Better Ends and bowlers honing their skills on the field.

Regarding concerns about the distance between the hotel and training facilities, Azam assured that it’s the board’s responsibility and expressed confidence in managing such logistical challenges. He noted past experiences playing in similar conditions and expressed optimism despite the unique setting of cricket being played in America for the first time.
