Government Announces New Petroleum Prices for Next 15 Days

The government has released the updated prices of petroleum products for the upcoming fortnight. According to the Ministry of Finance, the price of petrol has been maintained at 247 rupees and 3 paisas per liter, while the price of diesel has been increased by 5 rupees per liter, bringing the new price to 251 rupees and 29 paisas. These revised prices will be in effect from October 16 to October 31.
Increase in Crude Oil Production
In other news, an increase in crude oil production has been observed over the past week. As per data from PPIS and industry sources, the country’s average daily production of crude oil for the week ending on September 30 was recorded at 63,898 barrels, reflecting a 1% increase from the previous week’s production of 63,376 barrels.
Gas Production Stats
During the same period, the average daily gas production in the country was reported at 3039 mmcfd, up from 3029 mmcfd in the previous week.
Company-Wise Breakdown of Production
- OGDCL (Oil and Gas Development Company Limited) had an average daily crude oil production of 30,464 barrels and gas production of 665 mmcfd.
- PPL (Pakistan Petroleum Limited) recorded 10,275 barrels of oil and 571 mmcfd of gas per day.
- Mari Gas had a daily oil production of 1,057 barrels and 915 mmcfd of gas.
- POL (Pakistan Oilfields Limited) produced an average of 4,189 barrels of oil and 62 mmcfd of gas daily.
These figures reflect steady growth in the energy sector, which is essential for meeting the country’s increasing demand for fuel and energy.
