Federal Cabinet Approves Rs. 20 Billion for Anti-Terrorism Operation

In a significant move to bolster efforts against terrorism, the federal cabinet, chaired by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, has approved a budget of Rs. 20 billion for “Operation Determination.” The Prime Minister emphasized that all necessary resources would be provided to ensure the elimination of terrorism in the country.
Federal Cabinet Meeting Overview
During the meeting, the overall security situation of the country was reviewed, with special prayers offered for the martyrs of recent terrorist attacks. The cabinet also approved the export of 100,000 metric tons of sugar and allocated Rs. 1.95 billion for the security of the Rekodic project, specifically for FC Balochistan.
Prime Minister’s Remarks on Terrorism
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif strongly condemned the recent terrorist incidents in Balochistan, extending condolences to the families of the martyrs. He acknowledged the increasing wave of terrorism in recent months and pointed out that terrorists from the outlawed TTP are operating from Afghanistan, posing a direct threat to Pakistan’s security.
Sharif reiterated the government’s commitment to continue the war against terrorism until it is completely eradicated. He highlighted the devastating attacks in Dera Ismail Khan and Kirk, where innocent civilians were brutally killed by terrorists. He stressed that these acts of violence are attempts to undermine the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) and damage Pakistan-China relations.

The Prime Minister assured that the Pakistan Army, along with other security forces, remains resolute in its mission to eradicate terrorism. He emphasized that the sacrifices of the security personnel will not go in vain, and the government’s determination to end terrorism is stronger than ever.
