Angan Terha (1984): A satirical masterpiece

Angan Terha (1984) is a Pakistani satirical drama that is considered to be one of the greatest Pakistani dramas ever made. The drama was written by Anwar Maqsood and directed by Qaiser Farooq. It featured an ensemble cast of some of the biggest stars of Pakistani drama at the time, including Salim Nasir, Shakeel, Arshad Mehmood, Durdana Butt, and Bushra Ansari.

Angan Terha is a satirical look at Pakistani society in the early 1980s. The drama follows the lives of the residents of a middle-class neighborhood in Karachi. The residents include a retired civil servant, a housewife, a domestic servant, a politician, and a businessman.

The drama explores a wide range of social and political issues, including corruption, inequality, and social injustice. It does so in a humorous and satirical way. Angan Terha is a sharp and witty commentary on Pakistani society, and it remains relevant today.
