High-Profile Accusations

Former Prime Minister Imran Khan, his wife Bushra Bibi, and former President Dr. Arif Alvi are among 65 senior leaders of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) named in cases tied to violent protests on November 24.

Other notable PTI leaders implicated include:

  • Umar Ayub (Opposition Leader)
  • Ali Amin Gandapur (KP Chief Minister)

  • Azam Swati (Former Prime Minister)

Scale of Implication

  • Over 300 local PTI leaders and workers are also accused.

Criminal Charges

The FIRs include serious allegations, such as:

  1. Obstructing official duties
  2. Damaging private and public property
  3. Violating Section 144
  4. Terrorism
  5. Attempted murder
  6. Road blockades

Specific Incidents Cited

  • Police Driver Abduction: One FIR alleges that PTI protesters abducted a police driver, tortured him, and later released him.
  • Violent Clashes: Clashes erupted as PTI convoys entered Punjab, with incidents of stone-pelting and police retaliation using tear gas.

PTI’s March Toward Islamabad

Led by KP Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur, PTI supporters marched toward D-Chowk in Islamabad’s Red Zone on Imran Khan’s instructions.

  • Protesters allegedly confronted law enforcement despite the imposition of Section 144 in Islamabad and Rawalpindi.
