Two Chinese engineers were killed in a terrorist attack on a convoy carrying Chinese personnel near Karachi’s Jinnah International Airport on the night of October 6. The convoy was transporting staff from the Port Qasim Electric Power Company (Pvt) Limited when it was attacked.

In an official statement, the embassy expressed deep sorrow over the loss of lives, including the innocent victims from both China and Pakistan. The terrorist attack occurred near a Karachi Airport signal, resulting in a loud explosion that claimed the lives of two Chinese citizens and a local individual, and left more than 10 injured. The injured victims are currently receiving medical treatment in different hospitals. The vehicle targeted in the attack was transporting foreign nationals.
