Indian PM Modi’s Plane Again Flies Through Pakistani Airspace

Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s aircraft entered Pakistani airspace on its return journey from the United States, flying for approximately 46 minutes before re-entering Indian territory, according to aviation sources.
The plane entered Pakistani airspace over Chitral at around 6:00 AM, following its route from Afghanistan. It then passed over Lahore before heading towards India.
This is not the first time Prime Minister Modi’s plane has used Pakistani airspace. Earlier, in August 2023, Modi’s aircraft had traveled through Pakistani airspace on his return from a visit to Poland. Additionally, he utilized the same air route while heading to the U.S. for his recent 3-day visit.
Previous Incidents of Airspace Use
Despite ongoing tensions between the two neighboring countries, Indian aircraft, including those of high-ranking officials, have used Pakistani airspace on several occasions. While direct airspace usage is permitted under international aviation agreements, each instance often draws attention given the strained diplomatic relations between India and Pakistan.
These flights highlight how essential logistical routes remain open despite political differences, ensuring smoother international travel for state leaders and officials.
