Pakistan Stock Exchange Sees Major Surge, Dollar Declines Further in Interbank

The Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) witnessed a significant boost as the 100-index surged by 615 points, pushing it beyond the 80,000 mark. The index was recorded trading at 80,106 points, marking a strong performance.
Dollar Continues to Fall in Interbank Market
Meanwhile, the dollar saw a further decline in the interbank market, becoming cheaper by 8 paise against the rupee. The new rate stands at Rs 278.05. On the first day of the business week, the dollar had closed at Rs 278.13.
This positive momentum in the stock market and the appreciation of the rupee against the dollar indicate an encouraging trend for Pakistan’s economic outlook.
