ANF Foils Heroin Smuggling Attempt in Potato Shipment to Sri Lanka

The Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) intercepted a unique drug smuggling operation in which heroin was concealed inside potatoes being exported to Sri Lanka. The operation took place at the Karachi International Container Terminal.
Details of the Operation
According to the ANF spokesperson, the authorities discovered 5 kg of heroin hidden in a container of potatoes destined for Sri Lanka. The heroin was cleverly concealed in 80 bags, with each bag containing 1 to 2 heroin-laced potatoes.
Arrest and Investigation
During the initial investigation, one suspect has been arrested. The ANF is currently conducting raids to apprehend more individuals involved in the smuggling operation. The container had been booked by a private company, and the arrested individual has been transferred to the ANF Police Station for further questioning and investigation.
