ANP Leader Senator Zahid Khan Announces Retirement from Politics

Awami National Party (ANP) senior leader Senator Zahid Khan has announced his decision to quit politics, citing the absence of meaningful ideas in the current political climate.
Reasons for Quitting
In a statement, Zahid Khan said, “I was doing politics based on ideas and thoughts, but unfortunately, there are no ideas in the politics currently prevailing in the country.” He expressed frustration with the current state of politics and the direction it has taken.
Reflection on Sacrifices
The veteran ANP leader also reflected on the sacrifices he and his colleagues have made during their political careers. He mentioned that while they have given a lot to the cause, he feels unable to continue under the present circumstances.
Future Decision Pending
Zahid Khan added that he will consult with the people of his constituency before making any further decisions regarding his political future. This suggests he is leaving the door open for possible future involvement, but for now, he is stepping away from active politics.
