Fatal Accident in Karachi’s Karsaz Area Involving Female Driver Leaves Two Dead, Five Injured
A tragic traffic accident in the Karsaz area of Karachi resulted in the deaths of two people and left five others injured. The incident occurred when a vehicle driven by a woman collided with a group of motorcyclists, causing significant damage and leading to a case being registered at the Bahadurabad police station.
According to the police, the case was filed based on a complaint by the brother of one of the deceased, Arif. The female driver involved in the accident also sustained injuries, including a head injury, and is currently undergoing a CT scan at Jinnah Hospital.
Among the casualties were a father and daughter who tragically lost their lives, while five others were injured. Four of the injured individuals suffered minor injuries, but one remains in critical condition.
The accident occurred when the female driver, allegedly driving at high speed, struck a motorcycle rider near the Karsaz stadium. The impact was so severe that the vehicle overturned, leaving it completely destroyed. Police and Rangers arrived at the scene and arrested the woman.
Videos circulating on social media sparked speculation that the driver may have been under the influence of alcohol, as she appeared disoriented. However, a medical examination conducted at Jinnah Hospital is ongoing to determine if she was driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol.
The Station House Officer (SHO) of Bahadurabad, however, stated that preliminary investigations suggest the woman was not intoxicated but was possibly suffering from mental stress. Further legal action will be taken based on the findings of her medical report.
