As Pakistan remains under the monsoon’s influence, various regions, including the financial hub Karachi and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP), are bracing for more rainfall in the coming days.

- The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) predicts light to moderate rain in Karachi over the next 24 hours.
- Winds are blowing from the west at 10 kilometers per hour, and the city’s maximum temperature is expected to reach 32°C.
- The humidity level is currently 89%, with the minimum temperature recorded at 27.5°C.
- Light rain spells in recent weeks have brought relief to Karachi, which experienced extreme heat last month. Weather expert Jawad Memon noted that there is a chance of rain, particularly in the city’s northeastern areas after noon.
- Rain Forecast in Punjab:
- The PMD has forecast rain in Islamabad, Rawalpindi, and other parts of Punjab from today until August 18.
- Areas like Murree, Galyat, Chakwal, Gujrat, and Gujranwala are expected to receive rain, along with Hafizabad, Wazirabad, Sahiwal, Jhang, Nankana Sahib, Chiniot, Faisalabad, Lahore, Sheikhupura, Sialkot, Narowal, Okara, and Pakpattan.

- The coastal areas of Sindh, including Karachi, are expected to have a partially cloudy atmosphere with the possibility of light rains.
- KP on Alert for Landslides:
- The Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) has issued a warning to district administrations in KP, anticipating heavy rains from August 14 to 16.
- The PDMA has cautioned that the downpour could trigger landslides and increase the risk of flooding in rivers.
Residents in the affected areas are advised to stay updated on weather conditions and take necessary precautions, especially in regions prone to landslides and flooding.
