  • Flood-Prone Areas: Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Narowal
  • Expected Issues: Flooding, disruptions in transportation, potential damage to buildings and infrastructure

Current Heatwave in Karachi

Karachi continues to experience a heatwave, with temperatures projected to reach up to 40°C today. The heatwave is expected to persist partially over the next two days. Citizens are advised to take necessary precautions to stay cool and hydrated.

  • Temperature Forecast: Up to 40°C
  • Heatwave Duration: Next two days

Instructions for Agencies and Public

The Meteorological Department has urged all relevant agencies to remain vigilant and take preventive measures to manage the anticipated weather conditions. This includes ensuring readiness for potential flooding and infrastructure issues.

Public Advisory:

  • Stay informed through weather updates.
  • Avoid unnecessary travel in affected areas.
  • Prepare for possible power outages and disruptions.

For Farmers:

  • Secure crops and equipment.
  • Monitor weather forecasts to plan farming activities accordingly.

The upcoming heavy rains are expected to bring much-needed relief from the intense heat but may also cause significant disruptions. The public and relevant authorities are advised to stay alert and take appropriate measures to handle the changing weather conditions.
