First day of Zil Hajj falls on June 7
RIYADH: Saudi authorities have confirmed the sighting of the crescent moon in the kingdom, signaling that the first day of Zil Hajj will fall on June 7, as reported by Gulf News.
According to a statement from the Saudi Supreme Court, Arafat Day will be observed on Saturday, June 15, with Eid Al Adha following on Sunday, June 16.
Arafat Day, falling on the ninth day of Zil Hajj, is a significant day for pilgrims performing Hajj, while Eid Al Adha marks the culmination of the pilgrimage.
In Pakistan, the Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee is set to observe the Zil Hajj moon on Friday, June 7. Chief Meteorologist Sardar Sarfaraz informed Geo News that the Zil Hajj moon will be born on June 6 at precisely 5:38 pm, with favorable conditions for sighting expected on June 7, when the moon will be over 26 hours old.
