Hafiz Naeem-ur-Rehman expressed concern over the targeting and killings of young people in Karachi.

Amir Jamaat-e-Islami Hafiz Naeem-ur-Rehman has emphasized the prevailing sense of fear and intimidation in Karachi, citing the targeted killings of young people in the city.
Addressing a press conference in Mansoora, Hafiz Naeem-ur-Rehman highlighted Karachi’s significance as Pakistan’s economic hub, lamenting government neglect of the city.
He expressed concern over the targeted killings of more than 800 young people in Karachi over the past four to five months, with a staggering 90,000 incidents reported in a year.
Hafiz Naeem-ur-Rehman underscored the underreporting of crimes in Karachi, noting that 80 to 90 percent of incidents go unreported, particularly muggings. He mentioned the pervasive use of Form 47 for security purposes.
Amir Jamaat-e-Islami criticized the PTI government, attributing Karachi’s woes partly to the instability caused by the government’s regime change efforts while in power.
